Lex Luger Producer | Secret Formula Revealed | Making A Beat | FL Studio Reason 6 Propellerhead
How is it going my fellow beat making producer? Today I’m going to talk to you guys about one of the most important things you need to know when making beat instrumentals in 2011. Also, we’re going to talk about our close friend and fellow hip-hop producer Lex Luger and his beats. For more info go to: http://todaysbeats.net/product/xxxl-2011-drum-samples-eargasms-no-videos/#mor… We’re going to tap into the mind of the elite producers over the music globe. We are going to uncover a jealously guarded elite producer secret. I have some very important information I would like to share with you all and I would like to debunk the myth that you are to use 808 kick drums throughout your entire production work. You should be careful using this method when producing your production theme, as I’ll explain to you in a moment but, there is a method that is commonly practiced and if you do not know this formula then your production work could possibly suffer greatly. (You’ll always come off amateur) The problem is with longtail type 808 kick drum samples. The issues with using an 808 longtail kick drum throughout your tracks will often cause an error call (phase cancellation). This issue will cause your 808 drum samples to truncate or cancel out its previous drums sound. So when you play your 808 back in a track, the consistency of the thickness and the boom will be cut off and it will sound like too much compression is put into the mix. Let me try to put this in simple terms, phase cancellation is when one a frequency is identical to any other frequency, when these two frequencies are played together one will overpower or cancel out the other frequency, there would certainly be a dip in sound and irregularities will occur. There is a jealously guarded secret that I would like to expose to all my true producers. Be sure to check out the video I have posted so that you can understand what this formula is. Once you know what the formula is then you can start producing a Lex Luger type beat. I can explain it to you in detail but I’d rather for you to watch the training videotutorial, this way you can fully understand as well as listen to and attentively observe the outcome. I find it very, very interesting that Lex Luger uses Fruity Loops or FL Studio 9 in his production work, even during his interview I’ve never seen a video of Lex Luger in the studio. this is very helpful and useful to all whom are trying to learn hip-hop music production. See what you get out of the lessons are techniques, It’s better for you to learn techniques than to learn a particular software. The reason for this is because software changes, but techniques do not. Once you know and understand a technique you can apply it or creatively manipulate to apply it to all hardware or software tools you use to produce your instrumentals or music. Another very important factor in producing good quality and better sounding drum patterns would be in the quality and choice of your drum samples. What you’re looking for in your drum sounds to accomplish this particular sound quality is a knocky, thick but punchy kick drum sample. Bare in mind you’re not to use any type of kick drum, this particular type of drum needs to be very, very particular. It should have the characteristics of someone knocking on your door with very thick, heavy and hard knuckles. The frequency should have a knock and not a rounded boom or subtle attack. The new XXXL drum kit will provide you with all of the modern drum samples that the professionals use today in their music production. You’ll also receive some true authentic hip-hop underground drum samples. These professional drum samples have been tweaked, mixed, and mastered using several different speakers for consistency, punch and dynamic range. So you can begin producing the best hip hop production beats in the market. Don’t forget, come back and check out the new videos I will be producing using Reason 6 from Propellerhead
